Reconnect
The elders have a strong interest in youth affairs and run a project called Reconnect which aims to strengthen family relationships.
Core service is trying prevent child homelessness through preventative measures such as counselling the particular people involved. Other activities include dances and sporting activites.Reconnect is a federally funded project auspiced by the elders helping with young people at risk. It keeps young people connected with schools and family for more positive outcomes.
There are over 100 offices nationwide, with local ones in Rockhampton, Yeppoon, and Mt Morgan.
